Kuwana

Description
Kuwana is the forty-second station on the Tōkaidō, at the head of Ise Bay. Travellers usually travelled by boat from the prior station, Miya, to avoid having to cross the many large rivers which exit to the sea between the two. The thriving castle town at Kuwana was one of the largest on the entire Tōkaidō.
