Description
The Yoshiwara district of Edo, known for its pleasure quarters, was also known for the cherry trees that lined the main avenue of Nakanochō. Viewing the cherry blossomsin spring was a popular attraction. Here, a courtesan stops in the moonlight to watch a child who is admiring the blossoms.
